Adult female, anime fangirl (fanwoman?) - love to read, also love Japanese movies, older and modern, always subbed never dubbed. Currently taking a course in Japanese with my husband, he is not, of course, a yaoi fan, but he enjoys some anime - when I say anime I don't mean the dubbed stuff on Adult Swim (for me, dubbed = ruined pretty much all of the time, although there are some exceptions :). Just finishing the third of the latest .hack games, Redemption; it has caused me to play nothing else and not even really read much, it really is that addictive.

I love Japanese Samurai movies, anything with Toshiro Mifune in it -- there have been a lot of polls on popularly and he is still considered in Japan to be the epitome of Japanese manhood -- with good reason. ;)

Let's see what else.. Best resource for ALL BL (BL = "boy's love" -- the term often used for shounen-ai/Yaoi) would have to be Wiggle's Boysonboysonfilm.com website.. it's the complete resource on and for all that is yaoi, but does not cover fanfiction, unfortunately, there is too much of it, I guess. It does cover manga and anime and movies... if you are looking for good manga but don't know titles (my situation) her website is a great resource, has reviews of everything, and several of each for variety, and where to get any BL/Yaoi anime and manga.

Other hobbies.. I used to play WoW a good bit, but haven't logged on in months, I've been so absorbed with moving from East to West Coast and our new (well ten years old but new to us) house, taking care of the million details that come with a move of this magnitude... and of course, then with getting the new .hack games and becoming hopelessly addicted.

I was reading the wiki and wikia today and found out that Elk is Endrance? Sora is Haseo? My fangirl card must be revoked, I didn't know any of that. How clueless I feel! ;) There is so much .hack material that I haven't read, and so much that isn't available in English or fansub yet, I want to read/see/watch it all!

Although in all honesty Elk x Sora doesn't do it for me the say way Haseo x Endrance does.. I guess in the years that have based since the World R:1, he grew up a bit.. Sora was a bit of a jerk, and while Haseo starts out that way, he grows, and grows a lot... part of the great appeal and replayability of this series.


I love Yaoi,Any good pairing works for me, favorites involve the Saiyuki world, and of course Inuyasha, and of course Haseo x Endrance is a favorite right now.
